Blogger also does allow for parents to subscribe by e-mail (link is on the right hand side). This will automatically e-mail and remind you when the blog has been updated. Alternatively, there is also the ability to subscribe through the blog using RSS feeds.
Blogger also allows a better experience when viewing on a smartphone. You can also add the blog to your home screen for easier access. When on the page, just click on the When you access the blog on your smartphone, tap the "share" button and you'll have some options that pop up. Click on "Add to Home Screen" and you'll have instant access to the blog.

Literacy
This week in Literacy, we have been looking at books and texts relating to Remembrance Day, Canadian veterans and being thankful. We journaled about what Remembrance Day means for us, as well as we wrote to veterans in health care facilitates at at Extendicare Hillcrest and Bethany Calgary.

Math
In Math this week, we've continued to look at skip counting by 10's. We even had a chance to count out how many seeds were in our pumpkin. Student's had a variety of guesses, anywhere from 50 to 300.. but it turns out we had a whopping 672!! See our display where students grouped them into groups of 10 to count out!
Science
This week in Science we've been looking at safety rules around hot temperature items around the house like stoves, fireplaces, etc. Students created a safety poster in their visual journals.
Social Studies
This week in Social Studies, we've continued to look at important community members. Carol Henke, a firefighter with the Calgary Fire Department, came out and spoke to our class about the important and diverse roles the fire department plays in keeping our communities safe and caring.

Students had a great time this week enjoying Alien InLine skating! Thanks to the many volunteers who came to lace up inline skates!
