This week in literacy we've been examining procedural writing. We've written steps in washing our hands, steps in brushing our teeth, and we created a poster with a partner on how to safely cross the road. We'll be continuing on different types of procedural writing next week.
Math
We've continued to examine the properties (faces, edges and vertices) and build 3-D shapes.
Social Studies
We've been preparing for our trip to Confederation Park next Monday and Tuesday. Please make sure that student's are dressed appropriately for the weather and have a litterless snack.
Art
Mrs. McCreary has come in to volunteer to do some legacy artwork with our class. We've begun to paint wooden birds, rabbits and butterflies to leave on the school fence. Mrs. McCreary is looking for volunteers to help affix them to our school fence towards the end of the month and if you'd like to help, please contact Mrs. Nichols in the office.
Misc.
This week we had our Heart and Stroke fundraising kick-off where our student's had a great time demonstrating some great skipping skills.
