Literacy
This week in literacy we've continued to work on our circle stories to edit and create a book. We're hoping to be finished next week!
We've also be doing some creative work around oral storytelling with Jeff Stockton.
Math
This week in math we've continued to look at measuring length and distance around objects with non-standard measurements.
Science
This week in Science we've been looking at what impacts the evaporation of water - such as temperature, surface area of the waters container and how wind impacts evaporation. We completed these by conducted a variety of experiments where we placed water samples in rooms with different temperatures, containers that exposed more or less of the water to the air, as well as how placing a fan vs. ambient air in front of water impacts evaporation.
Social Studies.
This week in Social Studies we've looked at how the early settlers of Saskatoon shaped the community. We also examined what life was like for the early Ukrainian settlers.
PE
We've been looking at fitness skills this week as well as continued with our weekly yoga.
